NAPT’s Patient Advocate Community (PAC) is a collaborative group of cancer survivors and caregivers who have come together to champion efforts that expand equitable access to life saving, life changing proton therapy treatment. PAC members serve as spokespersons, share their experiences via video and social engagement, collaborate to help educate stakeholders, and present about their valuable experiences at relevant conferences and events. Our advocates are patients, family members, professionals and community stakeholders who share a steadfast commitment to advancing:

Public Awareness

We elevate public awareness of the profound benefits offered by proton therapy, ensuring that its potential is recognized and understood by all.

Patient Access

Through the development of resources, we work tirelessly to break down barriers and increase equitable access to this advanced treatment available to all who can benefit.

Education

We empower patients and healthcare professionals through education initiatives that highlight the clinical and economic advantages of proton therapy.

Advocacy

Through campaigns founded on the latest research and real-world insights, we strive to create meaningful change in healthcare policies and practices.

Research

We encourage and facilitate participation in research initiatives from among diverse patient communities to ensure that the research landscape reflects the full spectrum of patient experiences.

Payor Relations

We champion efforts to ensure payors recognize the value of proton therapy, and work to establish proton therapy as a recognized and valued component of comprehensive cancer care.

The NAPT Patient Advocate Community is united by this exciting shared purpose – amplifying their voices to further advance the landscape of cancer care and ensure every patient has equal access to the life-saving, life-changing benefits of proton therapy.
